September is a month of change. Little by little, the hottest days are behind us, temperatures begin to fall and our bonsai also starts to feel that autumn is approaching. After the high temperatures of summer, it is time to help it regain its strength and begin preparing it for the months ahead.
The first step is to observe. Not all bonsai trees reach September in the same condition. Some will have come through the summer without any problems, while others may show signs of stress caused by heat, excessive sun exposure or changes in watering. In these cases, we can turn to Zokabio Algas, which helps support the tree during its recovery and enables it to cope better with stressful conditions.

As the month progresses, we can continue using Zokamin Primavera. At this time of year, the aim is no longer to encourage growth as we do in spring, but rather to provide the bonsai with the nutrients it needs ahead of autumn and help it reach the months of lower activity in good condition.
September also tends to bring greater differences between daytime and night-time temperatures. Zokamin Kitosan X3 can be used as additional support during this period, particularly when we want to help the tree respond better to stressful conditions.
And we must not forget the roots. Although we cannot see them, they remain a fundamental part of bonsai care during these months. Zoka Tricofung helps us maintain an active root environment with beneficial microorganisms. However, if you use it, remember not to combine it with fungicides that could affect these microorganisms.
It is advisable to complement it with organic matter. In our case, we use Zoka Policarbol, which provides water-soluble organic matter as well as fulvic acids. Tricofung and Policarbol work particularly well together, making them an interesting combination for caring for the substrate and roots after the summer.
Ultimately, September is a month for changing the pace. Our bonsai no longer has the same needs as it did in July or August, but it is not yet time to begin winter care either.
