It is true that they are visible, but confusion arises from the fact that they have different colours. However, if you notice that your small tree begins to have deformed leaves or thatthere is a sticky, pasty mass on them, be on the alert. Note that this may also attract the presence of some fungi. The aphid must be eliminated as soon as possible. You can do it with pressurised water or with specific products to finish it off. Be careful, however, that these resources do not damage the bonsai.
  2. Spider: It is another of the pests that most affect bonsai trees. They are very small mites, but you can probably spot them when you notice spider webs starting to appear on the plant. In addition, you will probably notice that the leaves are not in good condition and that they have turned a rather suspicious yellowish colour. Use specific products to remove them or try watering more than usual to flush them out.
  3. Worms and caterpillars: The good thing about this pest is that, as a rule, it is easily detectable easily detectable. They come in different types, but all of them are harmful. Why? Because they feed on the leaves of the bonsai and that is really dangerous. They will settle in the plant and will be comfortable. If leaves are chewed or have holes of considerable size, these animals may be wreaking havoc.
  4. Mealybugs: They are insects that normally have a white, foam-like covering. If the leaves are found with some white masses or some malformation of a different colour than usual, it is time to be suspicious. Some alcohol can be your best friend in getting rid of them.
